Pre and Post Patient Instructions

Prior to treatment:

Do not pluck, thread, wax, bleach or use depilatory creams in the area you wish to have treated four to six weeks prior to laser removal

Do not tan the areas to be treated for four weeks prior to treatments 

Avoid using self-tanning products for two weeks prior to treatments 

Avoid irritants (glycolics, retinoids ect.)

Come to appointment with 1/16th hair growth (stubble)

Please arrive with clean skin. No lotions, oils, make-up or deodorant on or near treatment area.

After Treatment:

Some redness and swelling in the area is normal and may feel similar to sunburn. This should resolve within several hours to a few days after treatment.

If tender, apply Calendula lotion, or hydrocortisone to the area twice daily.

A cold compress for ten minutes can also ease discomfort. 

Do not tan treated areas and apply sunscreen spy 30 every two hours while exposed to sun. Continue this for six weeks after final treatment to avoid pigment changes.
